Dr. He obtained her PhD degree from Jilin University – University of Maryland in 2020. During PhD, her research was focused on the mechanism of Zika virus-host cell interaction. After graduation, she conducted research on HIV-host cell interactions. Years of experience focused on the study of pathogenic microbes and their mechanism of interaction with host cells cultivated her keen interest in the immune system and its working strategies. She joined Dr. Elahi’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2023, her research is focused on elucidating the physiological significance of neurotrophic factors and Galectin-3 in CD71+ erythroid cells.
